GDPR Training

This 3-day course covers the EU General Data Protection Regulation, which aims at guiding all organizations regarding data protection, such as confidential client information, intellectual property, internal staff data, and other sensitive information. Additionally, the course includes creating a security management system (SMS,) which consists of a data protection plan, including the implementation and monitoring activities required to comply with the regulation.

Course Overview

We design our GDPR workshops to fit our clients’ needs and objectives. Therefore, our workshops include hands-on exercises and real-world case studies similar to what the participants regularly encounter at their jobs. Additionally, our instructors are trained and certified in data protection and security management. We also provide follow-up consulting for up to 60 days after the participants have finished the workshop to address any questions or issues. The course work includes:

  • Introduction to the GDPR, including the articles and recitals
  • Regulatory Guidelines and Requirements
  • The rights of the data subjects
  • How to develop an appropriate Information Security Management System (ISMS)
  • Identify risks and plan strategies to address them
  • Combining the GDPR with corporate governance
  • How to monitor and control the implementation and progress of the security program
  • Breach reporting and responses
  • The role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO)
  • Notification Obligations
  • Penalties for non-compliance
  • Data controllers and processors – roles and responsibilities
  • How to develop and implement a training plan for organization staff
  • Review course and evaluate participants’ class assignments
