The PMI-ACP (Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner) designation is one of the leading certifications globally. The PMI developed it to certify that people are well versed in the Agile Methodology for executing projects. After the PMP (Project Management Professional,) it is one of the most popular and recognized certifications today and well worth obtaining. Agile Practitioners must meet certain prerequisites established by the PMI, which include:
- Secondary degree
- 21 contact hours of agile practices training
- 12 months of general project experience within the last 5 years. Possession of a PMP or PgMP can satisfy this requirement.
- 8 months of agile project experience within the last 3 years
