DATA PROTECTION

PM Workshops attach great importance to protecting your data and your right to self-determination about information. The following privacy statement informs you about how the personal information you enter on our website is being processed.

SUPPLY OF PERSONAL DATA

In general, you can visit our website without revealing any personal information. You need to share personal information if you:

  • use our contact form
  • buy items in our online store
  • sign up for our newsletter
  • register in the press room
  • create a job posting
  • create a directory listing

We will process personal-related data to the extent needed to deal with your request. For example, to answer a question, process your order, or for accreditation in our press file. After your application has been processed or in the case of the termination of a business relationship, your data will be deleted or retained on our system per legal retention periods.

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. INFORMATION DISCLOSURE

We will disclose the personal data you have disclosed to us without your express consent only to the extent that it is necessary to process your request. This includes disclosing your address to delivery services, payment providers, website service and maintenance, newsletter delivery, etc. We will not disclose them to other third parties and, in particular, not sell them or pass them to commercial users. If you decide to receive marketing information, you will only receive emails from the PM Workshops.

ORDERING ONLINE

Suppose you order an item in our shop; In that case, we will process and use your specified personal data exclusively to execute your payment and delivery unless you have explicitly accepted the use of your data for other purposes like customer card application or newsletter subscription. You will find further information on this in our FAQs and payment methods.

NEWSLETTER

If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send an email to the registered email address in which you will be asked to confirm your newsletter subscription (Double-Opt-In). This ensures that no third party has misused your data. Under no circumstances will we sell your data for advertising or marketing purposes to third parties or otherwise make them available for such. We will only share your personal information with the technical services needed to deliver your newsletter. As a matter of course, you are free to unsubscribe to our newsletter service by clicking on the unsubscribe button in the newsletter or sending an email to info@pm-workshops.com.

As part of the registration of our newsletter, MailChimp collects your email address and any other optional data. We use this information solely to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe via the link provided at the bottom of each newsletter or a notice to us. Your data is never made available to third parties (e.g., for marketing purposes) without your explicit prior consent, and you can revoke your consent at any time.

This website uses cookies so that we can provide you with the best user experience possible. Cookie information is stored in your browser and performs functions such as recognizing you when you return to our website and helping our team to understand which sections of the website you find most interesting and useful.

What Are Cookies and Do We Use Them?

A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a Web site that may be saved on your hard disk by your computer’s browser. It holds information a place may need to interact with you and personalize your experience. At PM Workshops, we use two kinds of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies exist only for as long as your browser remains open. Once you exit your browser, they go away. We use session cookies to maintain information we need to have for you to shop at PM Workshops. For example, the Session ID cookie that we ask your browser to hold retains the ID for your shopping bag. USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” text files stored on your computer, and allows an analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this site is usually sent to a server of Google in the US and stored there.

In the case of activation of the IP anonymization on this Web site, the IP address of Google will be truncated within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before. In exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to a Google server in the USA and is shortened. On behalf of the operator of this site, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other website and internet-related services to the site operator. Which is within the scope of Google Analytics that your browser sends IP address cannot be merged with other data held by Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; we point out, however, that in this case, not all the features of this site are in full use. Google AdWords Conversion Tracking also uses “cookies” stored on your computer and allows an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website to a Google server in the US and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your website usage, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide other website activity and internet-related services.

Also, Google may transfer this information to third parties unless required by law or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Google will not associate the data with other data held by Google. You can prevent the use of cookies in general if you prohibit your browser from receiving cookies.

FACEBOOK LIKE BUTTON

The website uses social plugins Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (from now on “Facebook”). When you visit pages on www.dataconomy.com that include such a plugin that automatically transmits data about your visitors’ behavior on the server from Facebook. The Dataconomy Media GmbH does not influence the nature and extent of data collected and communicated to Facebook data. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign you to visit your Facebook account. For more information about privacy on Facebook, visit http://www.facebook.com/policy.php. As the provider of the websites, we have received no knowledge of neither the content nor the use thereof through Facebook.

Usage of the collected information:

In addition to the above usage cases, the information provided by you will be used by Google according to its current data privacy policy. Google may publish general statistics about the +1  activity of its users. Google may pass these statistics on to users or partners such as publishers, advertisers, or related websites.

TWITTER

Our pages include the functionality of Twitter. Twitter Inc. offers these services, 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Through Twitter and its “re-tweet” function, those websites will be linked to your Twitter account and shared with other users. This also entails forwarding data to Twitter.

SSL TECHNOLOGY

We use a secure SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection to protect the transmission of your data. This ensures that your data, including credit card details and contact information, is securely transmitted via the internet. The data is encrypted so that our payment system can only read it. From a symbol (sealed padlock) in your browser’s window bar, you will recognize that you are now in the secured area. If your PC cannot process SSL – which may happen in rare cases – you do not need to worry that your data will be transmitted without secure encryption. You will usually receive an error page drawing your attention to the problem in such cases. Then, you should, best of all, contact your provider.
